Family Medicine Records: The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) has suppressed birth dates for all of its diplomates. This change triggered Alerts for many BCD users. You can still search on that criteria, but it will not display on the profile. There was a technical glitch in the update file we originally received and a correction has been loaded. Depending on which day you have designated for your Alerts emails, you may receive a second notice due to that correction.
New Records: We recently received new records for Emergency Medicine diplomates who are certified in Internal Medicine-Critical Care Medicine offered by The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Internal Medicine-Critical Care Medicine is now an option in the drop down menu on the Advanced Search screen. The American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) partnered with ABIM to provide their diplomates with the option to participate in Critical Care Medicine fellowships and then take the Internal Medicine-Critical Care Medicine exam administered by ABIM. The certificate title for this subspecialty indicates the administering board. Other boards offer certification in Critical Care Medicine and they administer their own exams. Go to the FAQs to review how to search for these subspecialties on BCD.

Hospice and Palliative Medicine Updates: We received updates from the boards that issue certificates for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine sub-specialty for diplomates who sat for the most recent exam.

BoardCertifiedDocs allows you to download or save discrete physician profiles, including groups of specialists, but does not allow exporting of the mailing information to build a list.

About My Alerts

Save your searches or lists of individual specialists to your BoardCertifiedDocs.com account. You will receive an e-mail message when any of the saved information has been updated, alerting you to the change(s). 

You can choose to be notified when a saved profile has only a certification update or for any change. In addition, you will be notified when a physician is added or deleted from your search results, based on saved criteria.

The alerts lists are organized so those with the most recent changes will appear at the top. The My Alerts feature is now available to customers who are recognized by their IP address.
